Ocean Freight: FCL vs. LCL
For the vast majority of international trade, ocean freight is the most cost-effective method. When exporting from India via major ports like Vizhinjam, Nhava Sheva, or Chennai, there are two primary container options:
FCL (Full Container Load)
If you are buying in bulk (e.g., hospitality furniture, heavy steel, or large FMCG orders), you will book an entire 20-foot or 40-foot shipping container. FCL is highly secure because the container is sealed at the factory or consolidation warehouse and not opened until it reaches your destination. It also offers the best cost-per-unit for shipping.
LCL (Less than Container Load)
If your order volume isn't large enough to fill a container (e.g., a few pallets of spices), we utilize LCL shipping. As your freight forwarder, we consolidate your pallets into a shared container with other buyers' goods heading to the same destination. This allows you to pay only for the exact space (CBM - Cubic Meters) your cargo occupies.
Air Freight for Time-Sensitive Cargo
While significantly more expensive than ocean freight, air freight is essential for high-value or time-sensitive goods like pharmaceuticals, premium fashion apparel, or urgent industrial spares. We leverage our proximity to the Trivandrum International Airport to execute rapid air freight exports globally.
